Student Board - Public Health Interventions

In the ever-increasing competitive academic environment, students often find themselves in high pressure situations where they experience stress, anxiety, and/or depression, and often lack the knowledge or resources to seek help they need.

Mind Your Health is a semester-long, school-wide campaign by the Public Health Interventions Subcommittee of the CHL Student Board and for SPH students to increase the awareness of mental health issues that affect college students and seeks to provide information and resources on the various facets of mental health.

Mind Your Health will put on a speaker series where various experts on the topic will talk about their research and share their unique viewpoints on the issue of mental health.

PAST EVENTS:

Please join the Center for Health Leadership Student Board as it presents a fascinating lecture by Dr. Darlene Francis on "The Stress of Life and YOU", an examination of how biological, psychological, and social processes interact to affect our mental and physical well-being. This lecture is being offered as part of the student board's "Mind Your Health: Mental Health Matters" campaign in hopes of raising awareness about mental health issues, particularly among the graduate student community at UC Berkeley. This lecture will be held beginning at 6:15pm on Tuesday March 15th, in 150 University Hall. There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussions following Dr. Francis' lecture, and light refreshments will be served.
