2015 New Media Presenter Bios


ChristyCauleyChristy Cauley, Electronic Communications Specialist, Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH)

Christy Cauley is an Electronic Communications Specialist with Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been employed in communications since 2002. In addition, she's been a freelance writer for over 15 years and has written two novels (available at ChristysBooks.com). Christy has a bachelor's in communications and a master's in Education from Mount St. Joseph University – Go Lions! Ashley Dinielli, Social Media Manager, UCLA Health
Ashley Dinielli is the Social Media Manager for UCLA Health. She leads the development and implementation of the UCLA Health social media strategy, as well as managing UCLA Health's live-streaming webinar series and the maintenance of the UCLA Health digital presence internally and externally.

Ashley also serves as a Board Member of the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association in Southern California. She received her BA IN Healthcare Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

APIWCStephanie Goss, Associate Director of Policy and Communications, Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center 

Stephanie Goss is the Associate Director of Policy and Communications at Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center, a San Francisco-based health, education, research, and policy nonprofit with local, regional, and national programming. A&PI Wellness Center transforms lives by advancing health, wellness, and equality and has deep expertise in serving people of color and the LGBT community. Stephanie oversees strategic communications planning and external messaging for the agency, including brand storytelling and management, public and media relations, crisis communications, marketing, and social media. In her work on the Banyan Tree Project, A&PI Wellness Center's national HIV stigma-reduction social marketing campaign targeting Asian and Pacific Islander communities, she designed and launched a community-driven digital storytelling initiative capturing the impact HIV stigma has on the lives of real people.

Stephanie joined A&PI Wellness Center in 2006 and has over ten years of experience in the tech industry. Previously, she worked at Macromedia, Inc. (now Adobe) on the Dreamweaver and Flash development teams. Stephanie has a Bachelor's degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin.


Vicki Hammarstedt, Digital Media Director, Berkeley Advanced Media Institute (formerly kdmcBerkeley)

Vicki Hammarstedt is the digital media director for the Berkeley Advanced Media Institute (formerly kdmcBerkeley). An entrepreneur with a passion for all things digital, she currently designs new media programs and events bringing industry leaders and academics throughout the world together to explore the latest technologies, innovations and storytelling in digital media. She began her eclectic career as a technology teacher, the developer of a charter school, the co-founder of an e-commerce company, a consultant, and as the business director in the telecom industry. Vicki sees disruptions as opportunity and an outlet for creative thinking. 


Raed Mansour, Executive Assistant to the Commissioner, Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH)

Raed Mansour, MS is the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) and leads innovation projects under the Office of the Commissioner, like FoodBorne Chicago. He works on building capacity through collaborations with Chicago's civic tech community for CDPH's data science initiatives, including leading projects in predictive analytics, app development, and social media that can be applied to public health practice. Raed is also adjunct faculty at Boston University's Graduate Program in Health Communication. He received a BS from Purdue University in Neurobiology and Animal Physiology, a MS in Health Communication from Boston University, and a Certificate in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University.



Megha Savla, Executive Director of Marketing, Pediatric AIDS Coalition 

Megha Savla has been a member of the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA for the past 2 years. After getting her start as a member of the Catering committee, she went on to become the Director of Publicity in her second year. This upcoming year, Megha will be acting as the Executive Director of Marketing for the Pediatric AIDS Coalition and she could not be more excited!

Matthew Scharpnick is the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Elefint Designs, a strategic design studio that works with good causes. Combining strategy with design, Elefint helps nonprofits, NGOs and other social sector organizations tell compelling stories and achieve greater impact. Matthew specializes in branding, design strategy, storytelling, and data visualization.

AJ Titong has an expertise in visual storytelling, social media, brand awareness, and multimedia design. She currently works as a communications specialist at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, managing online mobilization campaigns and the designing and disseminating of the organization’s print and electronic publications. She also works as an independent designer and communications consultant for small businesses and non profit agencies across the San Francisco, Bay Area. When she’s not working, she is an active member of her community. AJ is a board member of the Daly City Partnership and leads their communications and marketing efforts. AJ graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s in Asian American Studies and Communications. AJ is also completing a degree at the Art Institute of California, San Francisco, in advertising and design. She likes to run marathons for the views, go on long hikes, get lost in museums, and is a major ad junky.
